I want my computer back!

For the 4th working day in a row, I have been forced to work from a different desk. Last Friday, I went home for lunch with all intentions of coming back to work after lunch. But the wife persuaded me to take the afternoon off so we could go to a matinee movie (Hitch... hilarious!). Since I was still logged into my computer, I called my friend at work, and asked if he would turn off my computer for me. He did, and it was a mistake. I came in on Saturday to work some overtime and my computer wouldn't power up. The power supply had broken. So I had to work from somebody else's desk that day. Monday morning I called the help desk and they promptly came and swiped my computer. Wherever they took it, it is still sitting there. Let's not forget that I work for the government. Some days I am lazy and don't get much work done. Apparently, the IT folks have the same attitude.

I am working from A's old desk, a girl that left here several weeks ago. So for the past few days I've been known as A. It really stinks too, because all of my work files and music is on my computer, and it is much more difficult working on a strange computer that has absolutely nothing on it, inside a cubicle that has no pictures on the walls.

You should start talking like her too. That would be hilarious!
