General update

I haven't given a job search or free iPod update lately. So here goes...

Thanks to a tip from Jeff, I applied for a job vacancy yesterday that isn't going to be made public. That makes five outstanding jobs that I've applied for. I'm hoping to hear something back from these soon. I'm still searching though. I'm not counting on hearing good news from any of these jobs. That way, I won't be disappointed if I don't get a job offer. But I have to wonder if this pessimistic viewpoint is doing more harm than good. I just hate the feeling of getting my hopes up for a certain job, going through the interview process, only to receive an email several weeks later that says I'm not the person they were looking for. I have more plans though, on different avenues that I want to try in this job search. For what it's worth, I've added document and pdf links to my resume in my profile section.

Now for the iPod update:

If you can read that, it says "Sent to Vendor, Waiting on Product". From what I've read, this means that the Gratis Network has verified my 5 referrals, and has ordered my iPod from its vendor. When Gratis receives my iPod, they will ship it out to me. So it should ship out early next week, and I should receive my iPod by the end of next week. Hopefully. I've been arranging and organizing my iTunes library for several days now. I'm getting everything ready so that I can just plug the iPod up to the computer when I get it, and transfer everything over to it.
