Car troubles & Stand Up

My week has been all screwed up, and it's only Wednesday. I got in my car yesterday morning to come to work and it wouldn't start. I ended up taking a sick day, hoping I could get it fixed yesterday. I called a local Mom & Pop mechanic to see if they could come get it and fix it. This was around 9:30. They didn't come with the tow truck until 3. Then they didn't call me until this morning with the verdict. The anti-theft system is messed up. It will not start up if it thinks I am a thief. So apparently, my car thought I was a thief and was trying to steal my own car. I hope it is something that can be reset easily.

So today I am driving my apartment manager's pimp mobile. It's a 1985 Cadillac and it looks just like this. It is SO smooth and fun to drive. I may ask to borrow it again sometime just to drive around.

edit: Just called the Chevy dealer and they won't know anything until tomorrow morning. Having car trouble sucks!

--------------------------

So yesterday was the release date for the Dave Matthews Band's new cd Stand Up. I was very excited for the new album, as it's the first CD they've released of all-new material since Everyday in Feb 2001. After listening to it several times now, I've concluded that I really like the album. It doesn't sound quite like the DMB music I'm used to. But the change is good and it is a great album to listen to loud in the car with the windows down. My favorite from the album is "You Might Die Trying". Check out a live version here.

I'm really loving a song that didn't make the final album cut. "Trouble with You" was put on the second disk as a b-side along with some live tracks from the 2004 summer tour. It is my song of the day.

I apologize for having to disable my RadioBlog. I'll try to get it up and going soon, with all new songs. Stay tuned!

That car is just awesome! Everyone needs a ride like that.

So did you buy Stand Up? You should buy tickets for the DMB concert in Nashville in July.

I don't know why it's not on the album, but it's on my iPod and tracked just like it was on the album. I think it fits pretty well after "old dirt hill".
