Long Time, No Post

I don't know what my problem has been lately, but I just haven't had anything to write about. So I apologize for the lack of updates. I'll try my best to do better. I have lots of stuff going through my feeble brain and it's wearing me down. I'm still going to be laid off from my job on Sept 30th, I still do not have a job lined up for October 1st, my wife is still pregnant (this I'm thankful for!) and we're still wanting to move to Bowling Green. I do have a couple of job leads right now, so hopefully something will work out for me with one of them.

I hope everybody had a wonderful holiday weekend. We went to BG Saturday and came back Sunday after lunch. My in-laws have a vegetable farm in the summer, and they sell produce at the Farmer's Market and they sell from their front yard. For Sunday lunch, I had peaches-n-creme sweet corn that had been picked that morning. It was the best corn I've ever eaten.

My wife had to work on Monday, the 4th, so I thought I was doomed to a day of boredom while she worked. But I was wrong. The great neighbors Santa and Mrs. Claus took me and their two grandsons to the lake. We went tubing, and it was great fun! I'm sad to admit that I got my first sunburn of the season that day. I've usually burned several times at this point, and it shows how little I've been outside this summer. But tubing was fun. Santa drove the boat, and he zig-zagged across the lake all day long. I got thrown off two times. It was a weird feeling to be floating in the middle of the lake as they circled back around to pick me up. The tube would swing around and get slack in the rope because of the zig-zagging. Once the rope went tight again, it was nearly impossible to hang on without losing your grip.

I've also been working on a little project for the Dave Matthews Band community. Two of my favorite albums of theirs are Crash and Under the Table and Dreaming. In the past, Dave has done acoustic tours with his long-time friend and professional guitarist, Tim Reynolds. Several concerts were recorded straight off the soundboard, so the quality is superb. I gathered up all of the soundboard concerts, and made compilation albums for both of these albums, and I creatively named them Crash LIVE and Under the Table and Dreaming LIVE. I used Adobe Audition audio editing software to normalize all tracks and mix them together, so that it flows like a real concert. If you are familiar with Bit Torrent, and would like to download my compilations, you can get them from here, as they are now complete.

-------------------------------------------

I can't think of anything else interesting. So I should probably get some work done.
