Stargazing treat

I've always loved stargazing. I always keep my eye on astronomy websites for upcoming rare stargazing opportunities. Tuesday night presented another awesome viewing. The crescent moon teamed up with Venus and Jupiter to form a straight line across the western horizon. I grabbed my digital camera and tripod and snapped these pictures.

In order to snap a good picture of stars at night, your camera must be able to make long exposures. This allows more light to "soak in" to the camera. My camera is able to take a 5 to 6 second exposure. I zoomed out and was able to capture a passing car and it's streaking head and tail lights.

Hi there,
WOW, what a cool site you have here. You have done some really neat things here on your site. I really like the Radio Blog and the album pictures on the left hand side of your site. Where did you find the instructions to do all that, or do you just know HTML. Anyway, I have a link to your site on my page. Feel free to check out my site and any advice you have, let me know.
Thanks,
have a great day!
later,
