I can taste the victory

March Madness is upon us. It's the perfect time of year for me. If I were not hindered by work, I could sit down and watch every single NCAA basketball game from Day 1 til the championship game. People all across the country paid their $5 and filled out a bracket in a winner-take-all office pool. This is the first year that I haven't participated in a money pool. The one I'm playing in is much much better.

The local ESPN radio station, 1340AM, is having a free bracket contest, where the winner will receive a 42 inch flat screen LCD TV from Best Buy. I emailed the station after the first two rounds were completed, to see where I stood. I had been keeping up with my score on a copied version of the bracket I turned in. I could tell that I was doing quite well. The station manager replied and said that I was tied with 3 other people for SECOND PLACE. He also said that the guy in first place had no chance whatsoever of winning, because the team he picked to win it all, had already lost. All 4 of my Final 4 teams are still in it. So I have a chance!
